My name is Kyle and I’m a physical therapist in Seattle. I started cooking and baking at a young age and has loved it ever since. I’m self taught and family taught from my mother and grandmother. I grew up in Hawaii with a very diverse food scene, so I like to cook in this way too. One day I’ll make steamed monchong with bok choy and the next it’s slow roasted BBQ pork. Come see what’s up; it’s going to be good.
The recipes posted on this blog have either been passed down to me through my family, created by myself, or modified from other people. In the latter case, credit is always given to the original creator.
All photos in this blog are taken by myself, otherwise noted. I’m not going to bother saying they’re copyright and they’re mine only. After all, they’re pictures of food. If you want to copy them and show them to someone else saying you made it, you probably have enough issues to worry about.
I take all photos in natural light, unless it’s dark and flash is needed. I am using a Sony DSC-HX1.
As a blogger, I welcome all comments to any of my posts. Keep it friendly and unoffensive, or it will be deleted. I appreciate constructive criticism so long as it doesn’t hurt my feelings :). Lastly, keep the comments focused on the topic.
If I use any abbreviations in my recipes that aren’t familiar to you, comment and I will answer. I try to keep it simple though.
I do not post nutritional information for my recipes. It all boils down to the fact that I am lazy. You may use http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/ for your interest. This is an example website that’s pretty good.
Don’t be shy, I know you want to click that link on the top of the page. If you’re curious about a certain food or want to know what my take is on a certain recipe, post your inquiry there.
All content published on this site is mine. You may use the recipes or content as you desire. Just make sure you credit the information as originally mine. If you violate this mutual agreement, the food blog gods will forever curse you and your recipes will never end up right. So it’s a pretty serious ordeal.
