It has been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time since my last post. I had started work last year and the daily grind 8-10 hour days got the best of me. I’m going to resurrect the blog from the dead and start posting again. Stay tuned!
Holy smokes it’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been hounded by people to hurry and get something on here. I’ve been busy with graduating, studying for a professional board exam, vacationing, and just being lazy. Laziness no more. We picked strawberries this summer and if you’re in an area that has it, I highly suggest doing it. Store bought strawberries are just watered down crap honestly.
Tiramisu is a great dessert, a classic. It’s my girlfriend’s favorite so it was only fitting to make it for Valentine’s Day. And sure I can go to the store and buy Italian ladyfingers for $2.50 a package, but I’d much rather make them from scratch.
Salmon is a unique fish. It’s not meaty like tuna and not bland like cod, but it has it’s own thing going on. It’s hearty enough to be an entree, yet mild enough to take on different flavors. And living here in Seattle allows for access to the best salmon most of the year (unless you live on a river in Alaska, then you’re golden).
